Human Impact

Section 2 of 3

Behind every financial figure is a person. Five people lost their livelihoods. One person lost his health, his liberty, and two years of his life.

5 Staff Lost Their Jobs

All resigned following the 6 lockouts by Lower Richmond Properties Ltd and Vista (London) Ltd that made the business unviable.

Personal Consequences

  • Mental health crisis. MHCM certificate issued under Reg 5 DSRR 2020. The court continued to make orders against him during the protected moratorium period.
  • Arrest warrant outstanding. Issued by a court without jurisdiction (CLCC, not ICC). Physical liberty actively threatened. No stay obtained.
  • 2 years of full-time unpaid litigation. 2,375+ documented hours. Every hour that should have been earning £272.67 was spent fighting for rights the system should have protected automatically.
  • Unable to work. The demands of 6 simultaneous proceedings as a litigant in person left no capacity for income-generating work.
  • Universal Credit sanctions. Imposed as a consequence of the void winding-up order. Benefits withdrawn from someone whose business was destroyed by unlawful lockouts.
  • ADHD and autism denied accommodation. 12 requests for reasonable adjustments across 10+ judges. Zero granted. Every one denied in breach of EA 2010 s.20 and Practice Direction 1A.
  • Property destroyed. Office contents worth £50,000+ sold to a direct competitor for £1,100 without lawful authority.

“They did not just take the business. They took the team, the health, the time, and very nearly the liberty. The numbers are the evidence. The people are the cost.”

Michael Darius Eastwood, March 2026

Systemic Failures

Section 3 of 3

Every safeguard failed. Every mechanism designed to protect vulnerable litigants either did not function or was actively used against him.

22
Emails ignored by HMCTS. Across all proceedings. No acknowledgement. No response. No record of receipt. A disabled litigant writing into a void.
0/8
Transcripts provided. 8 EX107 applications submitted. Zero transcripts delivered within the statutory timeframe. Some withheld for over 200 days. The record of what was said in court, denied to the person it was said about.
13+
Months the JCIO ignored a formal complaint. Filed 20 February 2025 against Master Kaye. No investigation commenced. Told the complaint did not count because the correct form was not used. No reasonable adjustment for the form requirement.
0/12
Reasonable adjustment requests granted. 12 formal requests under EA 2010 s.20 and PD 1A. Across 10+ judges. 6 courts. 2 years. Not a single adjustment made. The Equality Act existed in theory only.
29:0
Decisions against vs. decisions in favour. 29 consecutive adverse decisions. Zero favourable. The probability of this occurring by chance is 1 in 537 million (Essop v Home Office [2017] UKSC 27).
7
Public bodies that breached their statutory duties. HMCTS. JCIO. Insolvency Service. HMRC. DWP. SRA. The Rolls Building listing office. Every institution that was supposed to help, failed.
18+
Void court orders. 9 made during the MHCM moratorium (void under Reg 7(12) DSRR 2020). Others void for jurisdictional defects. Derivative nullities under the MacFoy principle. The court's own orders are unlawful.
54+
CPR violations by the courts themselves. Including CPR 12.3 (mandatory default judgment), CPR 23.1 (orders made without applications), CPR 40.12 (sealed orders not matching pronouncements). The rules existed. They were not applied.
The pattern

Every complaint was ignored. Every transcript was withheld. Every adjustment was denied. Every decision went against him. Every safeguard failed. This is not a series of unfortunate coincidences. This is what systemic failure looks like from the inside.

Combined Documented Financial Impact -- This figure represents documented, quantifiable losses only. It does not include general damages for distress, loss of amenity, aggravated damages, or the value of the lease (£11.82M DCF midpoint). It does not capture what it costs to have an arrest warrant hanging over your head while you try to prove the court that issued it had no jurisdiction.
