Michael Darius Eastwood first described the 'Three Ethical Loops' - a specific named nested-loop formulation proposed for embedding, verifying and stress-testing values within an AI system - in the book Infinite Architects (ISBN 978-1806056200) published on 2 January 2026, and referenced it as a companion component of the Eden Protocol in the Eden Vision document (22 February 2026). Priority is over the specific formulation and terminology, not over nested control loops as a general architectural pattern (which have decades of prior art in control theory and reliability engineering).
