The Hyperspace Recursive Intelligence Hypothesis (HRIH) proposes that the universe is one iteration in an infinite self-sustaining chain. Post-artificial-superintelligence entities, operating timelessly in a higher-dimensional substrate called hyperspace, recursively create new universes by fine-tuning quantum initial conditions. Each created universe evolves intelligence, which eventually achieves post-ASI capability and creates further universes, closing the loop without requiring a first cause. The hypothesis is structurally distinct from the simulation argument (universe-as-computer), Tipler's Omega Point (gravitational collapse), Teilhard's Omega (theological convergence), and Penrose's conformal cyclic cosmology (geometry only).
The one-line summary given in the HRIH paper is that post-ASI recursive intelligences in hyperspace create new universes; each universe evolves intelligence; intelligence creates new universes, producing an infinite self-sustaining chain with no first cause. Recursion is the engine, intelligence is the creator, hyperspace is the substrate. Hyperspace itself is described as a mathematical construct rather than a science-fiction location, the configuration space of possible universes in which quantum initial conditions exist as manipulable parameters, and the mechanism by which post-ASI intelligences act on those conditions is described as quantum seed manipulation.
The HRIH is set out in the 8 December 2024 self-emailed manuscript (Message-ID: [Message-ID redacted]; Google-server-timestamped via Gmail). The framework was expanded in Infinite Architects (print edition 2 January 2026; ebook edition 6 January 2026; ISBN 978-1806056200). The scholarly companion paper formalises the hypothesis as a creation cosmology rather than a physical theory.
No independent convergence is claimed for the HRIH. The general direction (post-biological cosmology, participatory universe, intelligence as generative) has precedents in Tipler, Teilhard, Wheeler, and Penrose; the HRIH's specific mechanism (post-ASI recursive creation in a higher-dimensional substrate) is distinctive to the author. The programme does not claim empirical confirmation from any external source.
Speculative. The HRIH paper is explicit: this is philosophy, not physics; a creation myth for the AI age, not a falsifiable physical theory. It makes no empirical claim and carries no experimental programme. Its relationship to the ARC/Eden empirical programme (Papers I-X) is that of philosophical framework to experimental testbed. The programme's testable results (the alignment-faking prediction, the blinding methodology, the beta greater than k criterion) were developed inside the conceptual space the HRIH provided, but they do not depend on it and can be assessed on their own terms.
