HRIH stands for Hyperspace Recursive Intelligence Hypothesis. Its content is a cosmological proposal: that intelligence, recursion, hyperspace and creation together constitute a natural function of the universe rather than an emergent accident of it. The proposal describes creation as a process the universe performs recursively upon itself, with observers as one output of that recursion. Its intellectual neighbours in the literature are Teilhard de Chardin's Omega Point, Barrow and Tipler's anthropic cosmological principle, John Wheeler's participatory universe (the "it from bit" essay) and Lee Smolin's cosmological natural selection. HRIH is distinct from all of them and does not reduce to any of them; it is also, and this is the load-bearing point, speculative.
The evidence for the claim is textual and historical. The HRIH passage is in the December 8 2024 manuscript, and its priority date is fixed by the Google-server-timestamped Message-ID plus SHA-256 hash on the evidence page. The book Infinite Architects, published 2 January 2026 in print and 6 January 2026 as an ebook, develops the cosmology in more detail alongside the Eden Vision material and the glossary of coined concepts. A prior-art analysis in the spine record identifies the closest intellectual neighbours and shows what HRIH does not do that they do, and vice versa. That is the evidence being offered: an original text with a fixed priority date, a book-length elaboration, and a prior-art trail. There is no empirical evidence, and none is claimed.
The claim is explicitly non-empirical. Nothing in the current programme rests on HRIH being true. It is not used as a premise in any of the alignment claims, in the ARC scaling family, or in the falsification contracts. Its function on the spine is twofold. First, to document that the coinage and framing came from the manuscript so that the priority story is not lost. Second, to prevent the speculative framework from being smuggled into empirical arguments elsewhere on the site. Any public asset that discusses HRIH is required by the promotion truth gate to use the word "Speculative" in the same sentence and to note that no experimental test currently exists.
HRIH does not carry a testable prediction at present technology readiness level, and the contract for a claim of this kind is a governance contract rather than an empirical one. The compliance test is procedural: every public mention of HRIH is gated through the promotion truth gate, and the spine status Speculative is not negotiable while there is no experimental test to run. A violation is any public asset that presents HRIH as established rather than speculative, and the gate blocks such assets from publication. A positive engagement, for example an independent cosmologist working out a genuine consequence and proposing a way to check it, would upgrade the row from speculative to falsifiable and change the contract. Until then, the claim's honesty is exactly what its speculative label says it is.
