Paper X then superseded the fixed-exponent framing as the operative safety criterion by moving the load-bearing quantity to $\beta > k$, while the ARC Bound remains a live hypothesis awaiting a real test on genuinely recursive self-improving systems. HRIH's ontological break with prior computational-universe and simulation theories (Bostrom, Wheeler, Fredkin, Lloyd, Tegmark) is deliberate.
